AugustineA
I stopped by the Cathedral to go to confession and attend Mass. The sun was streaming through the stained glass, and we prayed the rosary while waiting to confess. We had a visiting priest from Africa, an Irish priest, and my pew-mate was Arab, universal Church indeed. The African priest prayed a heartfelt Mass, the type of Mass that reminds you what communion is. He lingered on the words of sacrifice, and spoke loud and clear. His homily was powerful. In fact, the homilies at the Cathedral are beginning to sound more like the homilies at my home parish, with the FSSP, which is great! He preached on the Jesus' teaching, those who love me keep my commandments. He taught that we're coming back into an age where comfortable Catholicism is a thing of the past. The world does not love you, nor what you do, but with the power of the Holy Spirit, we will keep his commandments and love him. Sometimes these things are worth sharing. Tonight was rejuvenating.
