Credo in Deum
FP and Perigrina are 1and 1. An encyclical could be the death blow for one of them. Will it be from St. JPII or Loe XIII?
Perigrina
Perigrina, I have an aunt that is much like the woman you described. I don't think she does it intentionally, but she always seems to press my buttons more than anyone else in my family. Lately I have been praying for patience and charity, and for God to show me what the real problems are. Sure I can blame her but at the end of the day the reality is she has no control over my attitude. First thing I try to do is think about how much God has put up with me. This usually brings a smile to my face and gives me the strength to deal with others in a more charitable manner. Then at times I will see that I'm mad at her for doing things I get mad at myself for doing. Lastly, I think about how there are so many different types of personalities in this world and how unreasonable it would be for me to taker her actions personally. It's amazing how easy it is to view other peoples actions as personal attacks when in reality it's just conflicting personalities. Yes, this is what I need to do. Thanks. I think I should read this before Mass next week.

Of the many mysteries of Christ's life, only a few are indicated by the Rosary in the form that has become generally established with the seal of the Church's approval. The selection was determined by the origin of the prayer, which was based on the number 150, the number of the Psalms in the Psalter.
Ash Wednesday
Would you have felt angry and left if the woman had suggested the Glorious mysteries? Was it the actual mysteries of the rosary, or the fact that she changed what was said at all?
Perigrina
Would you have felt angry and left if the woman had suggested the Glorious mysteries? Was it the actual mysteries of the rosary, or the fact that she changed what was said at all? It was the phrase "just for a change" that pushed my buttons. Change is not an end in itself. Change ought to be to achieve some purpose. She could probably have announced Luminous Mysteries and it would not have bothered me much if she had not said that. She has announced Luminous on other occasions and I have stayed and prayed. Edited May 24, 2014 by Perigrina

Fidei Defensor
Traditional, with the new mysteries…doesn't matter, as long as one is praying the Rosary :)
chrysostom
I am a fan of the Josephite and Marian mysteries, though when I do them it's usually an "extra" on top of the usual daily mystery.

AugustineA
It's nice to read through a thread and have someone respond with just about everything you would respond. You can just sip your coffee and chillax.

clk
Lately I have been meditating alot on similar reactions and I came across a wonderful, and for me, meaningful phrase. I am paraphrasing but it is don't judge harshly when someone sins differently than you do.
