The woman in question is Mary F. Keldermans of Springfield.  Bishop Paprocki wrote to her last month asking her to reconsider her plan, but evidently she ignored him and tried to be ordained a priest at a Unitarian church on May 5.

Bishop Paprocki promptly issued a decree of excommunication (and if you’ve never seen one of those before, they look like this).

I posted this clip because I think it shows just how serious excommunications are and what they mean.   We should pray for her conversion of heart and speedy return to the Church.

Gives me chills every time.

Some friends and I were talking last night about how we want Archbishop Predergast to revive the solemn anathematization for Justin Trudeau. :P Do it publicly, right outside of Parliament or something.

Also Martha Heizer and her husbandleader of  "We Are Church" movement in Europe.

Francis Pope excommunicated the founder of “We Are Church”. He celebrated Mass in the home with her husband

The Bishop of Innsbruck personally handed the decree to Martha Heizer and Gert, but rejected it. The two officiating at the Eucharist without priests to challenge the Church on women priests

vaticano-guardie-svizzere.jpgFrancis Pope excommunicated Martha Heizer, co-founder and president of “Wir sind Kirche” (We Are Church), one of the organizations most critical of the Catholic Church and its teachings. The case Heizer broke out in 2011, when the woman, a teacher of religion in Innsbruck, Austria, decided to challenge the Vatican on the issue of women priests announcing his intention to celebrate the Eucharist at his home in Absam, a small town near of Innsbruck. Following the 67 year old lady actually began to regularly officiate the Mass with her husband, Gert (who was also excommunicated), in front of other believers and in the absence of priests, and the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith established the commission now has established excommunication. The practice theorized and conducted by the theologian, in fact, profaning the sacrament of the Eucharist the Church is part of the “delicta graviora”, like pedophilia and crimes against Penance.

“We are outraged. ‘ As first reported the Tiroler Tageszeitung , yesterday evening the Bishop of Innsbruck Manfred Scheuer wanted to personally deliver the decree of Rome to Martha Heizer and Gert, but the couple dismissed it. This morning then the two have released a statement in which you say shocked at the choice of the Church. â€œWe deeply indignant at the fact finding ourselves in the same category of priests guilty of abuse. But we are especially bitter because we do not know a single case in which a guilty of abuse has been excommunicated. (…) We did not accept the decree, but on the contrary we have rejected. We have never accepted the job in its structure and consequently we do not accept either the conviction. We will continue to engage with greater force to reform the Catholic Church. Precisely this approach shows how urgently it needs a renewal. “

THE GROUP. Movement “Wir sind Kirche”, one of the most numerous and certainly among the most active in Europe in promoting progressive changes in the sense of Catholic doctrine, was born around a small group of Catholics led by Thomas Innsbruck Plankesteiner and precisely by Martha Heizer – remember Giacomo Galeazzi for the Vatican Insider  -  that in April 1995 he published an “Appeal by the people of God” addressed to the hierarchy of the Church to ask just the introduction of women priests, in addition to greater democracy, to ‘ abolition of the celibacy of priests and the adjustment of sexual morality in modern costumes. The text of many accessions collected across the continent but especially in Austria and Germany (respectively 505 000 and 1.8 million signatures)

They have spent years opposing the doctrine and faith of our Church, as has been said Bishop of Innsbruck, have excommunicated themselves. It is not only female ordination, also homosexuality, abortion and more things.

Those look like vestments I used to make for Protestant female pastors. None called themselves Catholic.

Why would you support someone materially in their position as a teacher of heretical/heterodox beliefs? That's not like sewing them a dress or a cardigan or some other mundane article. Vestments are a symbol of religious authority. I assume there is some good reason.. but even from a position of charity, both Papa Benedict and St. Paul state you cannot have charity without truth nor truth without charity.

I was working at an ecumenical organization at the time. I had made some clerical shirts for the older priest who sat on our board. He was in need of a Bro, and had trouble getting clerical shirts that fit. Our conversation was overheard by a female Lutheran minister with an ample bust who had a similar issue.

I asked the Archbishop his opinion. He said he wore an authentic St. Louis Cardinals jersey with his name on the back, but that didn't mean that the seamstress who sewed his name on thought he was a pro ball player.

Basically, I wasn't going to get my knickers in a twist about a bit of fabric anymore than I thought it was betraying Elvis' memory by making an Elvis costume for a gay guy into S&M. Of course, I know the difference, but basically it wasn't any different to me than making a nun's habit for a production of Sister Act. They are play acting, and I made them a costume.

Paid pretty good too.

Fitting that it would be in an ecumenical organization..  Get it.. Fitting   :hehe2:

Anyhow that is another way of looking at it. Leave it to the attorney to give good reason.
