In regards to your attachment to her because she was the first girl to give you a chance, just because she was the first doesn't mean that she'll be the last. I told that to my ex-boyfriend when he said the same thing in regards to me.

I felt like I had been falsely accused.  

 

I also say to drop it, but for a different reason.  She appears to be the type of person who will try to find hidden motivations, real or imaginary, in whatever you do, so even if she were to be in a relationship with you, you may have to be walking on eggshells constantly, which is no way to live.
