If you are interested in attending, now is the time to register, and you can do that online at www.stj500westernus.com. Registration closes on July 1. Please come! Everyone is invited! Speakers include Sr. Regina Marie, OCD, several Discalced Carmelite Friars, Sr. Christina Morel, OCD (from France). Dolora Zajick, a world-class opera star, has composed an opera scene in honor of St. Teresa, and it will have its world premier at the California event. Heidi Lehwalder, renowned harpist, will also perform at the concert that takes place at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Joseph during the celebration. Claire Sokol, OCD, of the music Sokol family, has composed several original choral pieces that will also premier at the concert. There will be a poet's corner, and if you would like to compose a poem in St. Teresa's honor, you can submit it on the website. It will all come to a climax with a solemn Mass at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Joseph, celebrated by Auxilliary Bishop Thomas A. Daly. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
