Ash Wednesday

This makes me angry, angry, angry.

They have a constitutional right to offer criticism as Americans.

But there's a thing called CLASS, hey?

Gay activists are squealing about Reagan's policy on AIDS -- couldn't they wait until after the funeral and the country's period of mourning? For God's sake, he was our president, and one of our nation's most popular.

If gay activists want any "respect" they aren't going to earn it with such tastelessness by using this press attention as an opportunity to push their agenda.

sad. very sad. :( :sadder:

there's something called respect.

something i fear they will never have for others, and never receive themselves.

"I have a feeling that an awful lot of gay people are going to be cheering, that 'Ding-dong! The wicked witch is dead,'" he said.

:( how sad.

And you know what? When Nixon died, I completely expected this kind of thing from the radical left. I don't remember it though... People kinda skipped over Watergate (done that one enough) and talked about his foreign policy etc.

If anyone was expected to get disrespected after death, it's Nixon.

this is just terrible...

Yeah, I remember the death of Nixon -- it seemed kind of mixed and awkward. It was like people didn't quite know how to handle that, so they were really restrained.

I really hope that nobody raises any stink at Reagan's state funeral.

People should allow a period of time for the deceased and their family...but nooooo, let's have our whiny little chitchat with the press before the man is even buried!

Crass.

That guy on Democratic Underground calls him a "union busting muderin' ********" yet he doesn't admit how many disgusting liberals have came into office and helped increase the murder rate of unborn children... Ignorance...

oh my...

I think the gay activists have been outdone by Cuba.
"He, who never should have been born, has died," was broadcasted on Cuban radio.

Though I'd expect nothing less from a cad like Castro. :dead: :dead: :dead:

Yeah, Reagan should have done something like call HIV a bunch of meanies and demand that they get away from all the gay people. I'm sure the idea of not having gay sex never crossed their minds.

And the guy's comment that the dates will link Ronald Reagan with the spread of HIV is the most asinine thing I've heard all year. This is like saying Reagan's death is the reason Smarty Jones didn't win the triple crown.

Oddly, when the govenment wanted to close the gay bath houses to stop the spread of AIDS, these are the same people (or at least the same type of people) who protested. Weird....

Does anyone else remember when AIDS became the official name of the disease? Prior to that it was called GRID and I remember when they changed it.
