Another question:  What is the phriending etiquette?  Do I ask people first?

If you 'friend' someone, depending on how they set up their personal preferences, it will either just 'take' or they will get a message saying that 'so and so would like to friend you - do you accept or not' .   And then they get the chance to do that.   I think you can also unfriend somoene if you want to do that.

To add to what was said -- there is another set of rules for Vocation Station (pinned in that section).  The rules are slightly different.  Main point -- what is allowed in other parts of the phorum may not be allowed in Vocation Station, and a certain level of cordiality is expected in there.  There's more of a bluntness/edgyness in other parts of the phorum (see Debate Table for prime examples).

 

There is a report button ... use it if someone's post is an issue/a problem; sometimes it is used if you want to correct something that you posted 2 hours ago (there is a time limit that allows you to edit posts, after that you need a moderator).  The report button lets a moderator (ok -- "regulator of phatmassers") know that there is something that we need to look at.

 

Mods are *not* on all the time but when we notice something we try to act.  Sometimes there is a delay if we mods are discussing something in the background (or ... if all 3 mods + dUSt decide to go on vacation at once lol).
