Does anyone find it weird that the president of Harvard's name is Faust?

As long as they are respectful of others' religions and don't harm anyone then they can wear as much black and do as much chanting as they want imo.

 

Since the entire purpose of Satanism and the "black mass" is to blaspheme against Christ, and the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, it is by definition not respectful of the Christian religion.

 

While it would be considered protected "speech" under the first amendment (at least under current interpretations), that does not mean it is not objectively extremely evil.

I find veneration of a book that celebrates ethnic cleansing, misogyny, and homophobia distasteful.

 

Obviously I am not actually personally offended by the celebration of the mass.  My point was that maybe some here who are indignant about the Black Mass but are thoughtful people who are capable of having a actual conversation about a topic with people who think differently than they do (which would be most of the people on this thread although maybe no so much others*) could consider that their religious tradition also has a lot of baggage associated with it that maybe they wouldn't think of since it's a tradition that they are living within.
