Harvard To Host Satanic Mass

I got this post from a friend of mine of Facebook:

"In response to the satanic ritual that some Harvard students are sponsoring on their campus on Monday evening, members of the Tech Catholic Community at MIT will gather on Monday (May 12) at 7 pm in the MIT Chapel for Exposition, Adoration and a Procession of the Blessed Sacrament. The Procession will proceed up Mass Ave to Harvard University, where we will join St. Paul parish for their Holy Hour from 8-9 pm (EDT). Please join us this Monday. The event is open to everyone."

And I have also been in contact with a priest friend -- he has chosen to hold a Holy Hour from 8-9 pm EDT as well.

So -- if you are so inclined it would be wonderful to spend an hour in prayer or adoration on Monday May 12, 8:00pm edt.  The Harvard event is held at 8:30pm, so starting adoration at 8pm works.  Or pray sooner than that.

If I can work my own personal schedule I will add that hour of adoration ... or at least if I have to keep my other commitment then I will simply hold my Lord close to my heart during that time.

I'm curious.  What do you find offensive about the mass?

He finds it offensive because he's a Leftist,of course.

Like vampires and the rest of Satan's minions, they cower in terror before all things Holy and Sacred.

Same reason they had to cover up the crucifixes at Catholic U. before the Obamanation came to speak.

Too much debating, not enough praying for all involved.

Father forgive them for they know not what they do.

I find veneration of a book that celebrates ethnic cleansing, misogyny, and homophobia distasteful.

Obviously I am not actually personally offended by the celebration of the mass.  My point was that maybe some here who are indignant about the Black Mass but are thoughtful people who are capable of having a actual conversation about a topic with people who think differently than they do (which would be most of the people on this thread although maybe no so much others*) could consider that their religious tradition also has a lot of baggage associated with it that maybe they wouldn't think of since it's a tradition that they are living within.

As long as they are respectful of others' religions and don't harm anyone then they can wear as much black and do as much chanting as they want imo.

Lilllabettt

just left the holy hour at St. Pauls. I couldn't get in, so I sat on the curb and chatted up the dozen or so cops they had milling around. Naturally they all happened to be good Catholic boys.

Oh Josh, for now we pray for them & their turning back to God. Grace & Mercy. O Blood & Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a Fount of Mercy for us, I trust in Thee.

Actually the last reports state that they did not move it to a local restaurant (they couldn't find a place that would be willing to host it publically) and the public event was cancelled.  BUT FOX News did report that the group was supposedly going to hold the black mass at a private location.

In any case we do need to simply keep praying since those sorts of activities do happen.  The good news is that there was a good amount of reparation done on Monday night.  Now -- to do that more often.
