MissyP89
Hi all, I'm back from my trip to New York. Brian and I sat down with the director of campus housing and the director of disabled student services. Both were very kind to us and did just about everything they could, short of outright giving us an apartment. There is a LONG waiting list for campus housing, and that list is wiped clean and starts over each year on May 1. So tomorrow, along with probably thousands of others, we'll be getting online early and hoping for the best. It is first-come, first-serve, and we will be given a number on the list that we can check from time to time, to see how things are progressing. God willing, we will reach the front of the line and be offered an apartment ... but there is no telling if or when that will happen. We only have so much time. Our wedding is a year and a day from now, and we'll need to have a place secured beforehand ... so we will continue searching for a handicapped-accessible apartment off-campus as well. Disabled student services were able to point us to a few nice complexes, but weren't able to tell us how much they were. For practical reasons, we are really hoping that we can move on campus. (I admit that I am very anxious about living elsewhere.) But we are also trusting that God will give us what is best. Please pray that, no matter what happens, we find a nice place to call home with plenty of time to spare. St. Joseph is a friend of ours, and I hope he comes through now. Thanks, friends!
