CrossCuT
I think the words are wrong. If you get angry and spend millions to get government "blessing" of who or what you "marry"' but don't care or spend your money on starving children, what tha' fa fa fa fa fonze?IWWY? How about "If you spend millions of dollars doing either but dont care about spending money on starving children then youre doing it wrong." AugustineA
How about not derailing this thread onto a completely different issue. Can we focus people.. :bananarap: Edited May 1, 2014 by AugustineA
CrossCuT
It is completely relevant. People dont have their priorities straight. We value soooo much over basic human rights that the poor hardly even have anymore. I cannot even begin to express the extreme frustration and just complete carelessness that even Christians show to the poor and lowly in life. Its sick and immoral. We have people like Paul Ryan who are in power who are treating the poor like shit...even the US Conference of Catholic Bishops sent Mr Ryan a letter saying "Dude srsly...what youre doing is totally not Christian and you should stop." The worst thing is, Paul Ryan has so many americans brain washed into believing that the poor are just stupid, lazy people who deserve nothing. Sick. Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
How about "If you spend millions of dollars doing either but dont care about spending money on starving children then youre doing it wrong." I think the point of the video is that it's more than feeding and clothing them bruh, it's about recognising that there human beings and remembering there face and your not going to remember there face unless you have a chat with them and have them feel welcome and ask them there name, listen to them if they wan't to talk, and share your life with them if they don't wan't to say much but desire to listen or a bit of both perhaps, and if they go "SCRAM RICHIE" than don't talk to them and say a prayer for them instead, but say a prayer for them anyway. Oh also of course ask them if they need a bit of cash and give what you can, even a dime. 100 dimes equals a hundred smackaroonies and my experience with the poor on the streets is they have a fabulous attitude of something is better than nothing, if your scared even a "god bless you (brother or sister) Jesus loves you, would you like a dime(or a dollar or even a fiver or twenty if your rich enough and I'm not talking millionaire)?" And still if you have nothing just tell them you got nada, sometimes there happy with a chat and have never or rarely shared there own story and philosophies or faith and are just BUSTING to share it. :) And sometimes of course in you there is neither going to be chat or dime so just say "G'day" and give em a beamer. :) But indeed it is sad people whom say the poor are lazy when usually there just unwell and no less in need of love and compassion than your mother whom has cancer. 4588686
They'll become visible again once there's an Elephant in the white house. The media's too blinded by all the bright glowing Hope'n'Change to see them now. Must be hard to never have an authentic, human reaction to anything. 4588686
I think that it's also about people numbing themselves. When I lived in DC (that is, until like 12 hours ago) I would probably pass 5+ homeless people just on my way too and from work. Always the same guys too. It becomes easier to just train yourself to avoid eye contact. It's always easy to be just too busy. Edited May 2, 2014 by Hasan

CrossCuT
Also, while I think we can agree that spending money to feed starving children is more of a good than spending money to protect the rights of minorities, I also think that its easy to say that spending money to demean people is no where close to either.
