The Third Way: Homosexuality And The Catholic Church

I saw the appeal to emotions as a strength of the movie.  It gave a human face to the issue and could help develop compassion in those who are insensitive to the difficulties of people with SSA.  

 

Catholic teaching includes both the call to chastity for those with SSA as well as the call to compassion and sensitivity towards them for those who do not have SSA.  I liked how the film addressed both these aspects of Church teaching.

 

It was a really good movie. There is such an ignorance about same-sex attraction in the Catholic circle. A lot of people think they're warped perverts, and that people who are bisexual are just sexual deviants.

St Paul is always on about sexual vices as not being part of the way, including homosexuality and that we are not to boast about it or even talk about any sexual vice in any manner that seems to make sex outside of marriage ok or semi ok because it isn't, though it can happen and the holy catholic church understands this, it is to be confessed with the intention and hope of becoming chaste, as in no sex till marriage.

But of course at times we all struggle with various sins at times, some homosexuality, but we are to HOPE to be made holy, ie: sin free. Don't give up on holiness, and only GOD can make us holy and yes there is some hardships internally on this journey and yes GOD will give you the grace to get through if you ask him and seek truth, in prayer, meditation, sacred tradition, the holy sacraments and the holy bible. Don't listen to me, listen to saint paul, it's plain as day, read his letters in holy scripture.
