Nihil Obstat
I like it well enough, but I know people who can't breathe when incense smoke is in the air. I was at a Mass last year where they literally filled the church with it - a couple of the people I was with almost left Mass. As a general rule, better quality incense is less likely to cause respiratory issues. There are obviously exceptions.

I actually know of a girl who threw up at Mass because of the incense. Weird, huh? I wasn't there, but the only explanation I can come up with for it is they mixed incense with powerful chemicals. I an inclined to guess something along the lines of panic attack.

She was like 11, and she isn't exactly normal, personality-wise, so that's possible.
CrossCuT
I grew up with incense at mass so it doesnt bother me, in fact it makes me feel at home! However I have been to other parishes that use a different type of incense and it required a little adjustment in the nose gears. But I lived. MithLuin
In Ethiopia, incense is burned at the coffee ceremonies. So, in the beginning, every time I went to a coffee ceremony, I was thinking, 'oh, it smells like church!' Now, whenever I smell incense at church, I think 'ooooh, coffee!' Smells are funny that way ;)

You know the proper amount of incense has been used if the church is as foggy as an AC/DC concert.
