HisChildForever
Can anyone link me to a good (orthodox) examination of conscience? Some I find too sparse, others extreme i.e. communion in the hand = irreverence = mortal sin...that same extreme one asked under the sixth commandment "have I unnecessarily remained alone in the company of someone of the opposite sex" uh wut. Based on that list I'm going to Hell.
Lil Red
There was a thread in Transmundane Lane with several different ones. I'll see if I can find it.

HisChildForever
What exactly does this one mean? Have I taken active part in any non-Catholic worship? My fiance is Protestant and we've attended each other's churches. I do not receive at his church and he doesn't receive at mine, out of respect of course and our differing beliefs--but I do sing at his church and will pray along when they do Bible-based prayers like the Our Father. That's not considered sinful, is it???

I think what is meant by "active" part is: volunteering to help with part of their worship, like lectoring, or leading the choir, or distribution of their "communion". (I'm pulling examples out of the air, just fyi.) Doing things like this would be considered scandalous and sinful. Does that make sense? IOW, I think you're fine. BG45
Agreed with what Red said about it on Protestant worship. Otherwise, I'd be confessing to going to my mom's Christmas Cantata and sitting in the audience.

Based on that list I'm going to Hell. My favorite is the one in my Handbook of Prayers (Student Edition). My mom has the regular version and I used hers one time and fell in love with it because it was concise and wasn't extreme. I wasn't able to afford the regular version so I was very happy to find the Student Edition for less than $10 on eBay. I use it pretty much everytime I go to Confession at my parish. I found the one from the regular version online: http://www.catholicnewsagency.com/resources/sacraments/reconciliation/examination-of-conscience/
