Sukitte... yes, I saw that one. Except I stopped halfway through. Wasn't quite doing it for me. I was pretty busy while it was airing though, so that was part of it. Basically it was seeming to me like a less cute and less well-written version of Kimi ni Todoke.

Ooh, I'm going to watch Kimi ni Todoke soon, it's on my list. I've liked Sukitte Iinayo so far, but I relate to Mei a LOT, so that's a huge part of it. And really, you remember when it was airing? Where I live we only have stuff like Pokemon on television, so if you want to catch a currently airing show, I think you would have to get a special membership on an anime website or something to watch it... I've never really looked into it though.

Do you care if it's dubbed or subbed?  Most anime is pretty easy to find free online.  Try this: http://www.tv.com/shows/kimi-ni-todoke-from-me-to-you/watch/

It wouldn't be airing outside of Japan, but usually I can find a subtitled stream 24-48 hours after it has aired in Japan. Sukitte was something like 12-18 months ago if I'm remembering correctly. I had a bunch of shows in my 'to watch' list, and just not enough time to get to everything. Ended up dropping the majority of them.

Oh, thank you! I'm sorry, I should have been more clear - I have no problem finding anime that isn't running anymore, it's just that I don't really have any way of watching it when it is running on television. Thank you very much though, and I'm sorry I wasn't more clear!

Oh, ok, amesome! I know Crunchyroll has brand new episodes of some anime on it, but you need a premium membership for that, and I have no way to pay for a membership, so I tend to just watch the older anime. And my list is HUGE. It's way too easy for the list to get so long... Anime is just too cool!

Yeah, Crunchyroll is a very good one. My friend has the premium membership and gets a lot of use out of it. I usually just wait a day or two then watch on Gogoanime or something similar.

I'm more into Western animation (Gargoyles, Last Airbender, Young Justice, etc) but many sites carry both.  I watched Legend of Korrah as it was running and could see it the day after it aired.  I'm just guessing that anime works the same way.

By the way, as far as anime, have either of you watch Tonari no Seki-kun? It's just short stuff, with a kid wasting time in a classroom, and rather unrelated episodes. (It's on Crunchyroll.)

I haven't seen it, but it's on my list! It looks interesting.

OOH and by the way: Season 3. Fall 2014. Anyone know what I'm talking about? (yes, I'm leaving out a lot of information. i want to see if anyone loves this anime enough to know what i'm talking about.) I had heard rumors, but my friend told me at the track meet. If I knew how to dance, I would have. SOOOOOOO EXCITED. (I hope it doesn't end up as bad as season 2... I wish I hadn't seen season 2. It wasn't very good...)

It just takes an extra day or two because somebody has to do a decent quality fansub.

Oh, ok, cool! Thanks! I think it takes a bit longer for anime because someone needs to do the subtitles. One of my friends prefers dubbed anime, so I think she waits significantly longer for that... I think it depends on the show and its popularity, and whether it is subbed or dubbed.

Most of the time your friend waits forever. :hehe: Many of the best shows do not even get dubs.

No kidding! It's kind of sad... I like dubbed because I can watch anime while doing homework, so if I have to look down for a moment, I don't have to worry about missing any important dialogue, because I can understand it. i'm studying Japanese just so that I can watch it while I'm doing homework, and still understand it...

What are you using for studying Japanese?  This is something that I have been thinking about.

Sometimes when I am going to be up late writing a paper, I take a show that I've seen several times already, and I just put it in (with the sub track), and let it play all the way through. I'll look up every few minutes, watch for a few seconds, and I can follow the story more or less with that, and having seen it a bunch already. I've found that to be really relaxing, and it helps me concentrate.

Last show I did that with was True Tears, which also has a good soundtrack and awesome artwork, so it really kept me on task while I was writing my paper.
