maximillion
Oh, and can I just say that Paris is not France? That would be like saying New York is the USA..........or that Quebec is Canada. I am pleased you enjoyed the sights of Paris and the culture there etc, but be aware that there is much much more to the country than that, you have barely scraped the surface. SilentJoy
haha.. Do you even church bro? I want to go to France pretty badly. The Catholic culture, architecture, people, wine, countryside, food, language, foood, culturee(trad.girls)eee, cheesseeee... *dies* x.x While you're waiting, come to da U.P. as an inexpensive replacement. Its beautiful, Catholic, and a little French, too.
Nihil Obstat
Haha the school is, uhm, interesting, to say the least...? And that would be a cool trip. We just saw JPII's tomb, but John XXIII's body was on display. The tour guide told us his body was incorrupt, but there are a bunch of people and articles saying it was just preserved really well, and it isn't mentioned as a miracle related to him, so I'm pretty confused about the whole thing...................... Incorruptibility is not considered a miracle, at least for the standards of the beatification canonization process.

Sorry, I was pretty tired last night, so I kind of just ranted, and I guess it came out weird... But yes, we only really scratched the surfact of France, you"re right about that. It'd be cool to go back one day and see the rest of France... If Paris has such a cool history, I can only imagine what the rest of France is like. Incorruptibility is not considered a miracle, at least for the standards of the beatification canonization process. OH ok, thank you for explaining that... I didn't know that. I probably shouldn't be on here when I have jetlag....

What do you mean by "UP"? I can think of: University of Pennsylvania (not sure if that exists) University of Portland Upper Peninsula (Michigan, I think that's a thing) And there are probably others, which might include what you actually meant. AugustineA
Guys. We stayed up to watch the canonizations and I'm exhausted. But we have to Church.
ThereseMaria
I've never seen a canonization... I wonder if they have videos of it on the internet anywhere?
xTrishaxLynnx
They may re-air on EWTN. Check their website. There's a live feed of the TV channel there and you'll also find their full programming schedule.
ThereseMaria
Today during morning prayer and announcements, we finally got to say ST. John Paul II. And they get to change the name of the school now. AND we have a list of saints that we ask to intercede for us, and we finally got to add St. John Paul II!!!! It was an awesome day. We're gonna have to take a bit of time to get used to it, but it's so exciting!!!
ThereseMaria
Hmm... Track Day next Thursday, for our school... I'm thinking I'll do long jump, shotput and 100m dash. I was going to do javelin instead of shotput, but that went badly... I tried to throw the javelin, and it swung around and almost hit me in the head. Luckily, I tripped over my own feet at that very same moment, and it missed while I was falling. It was pretty hilarious... Anyways. Random story. Then we have our Language Arts Final Part A coming up in about two weeks, I think... We have 2 and a half hours to write a business letter and either an essay or a narrative. AND I fell in love with a certain religious community... :nun3: Anyways, that's life for me right now.

ThereseMaria
http://youtu.be/DhrZxSoLmgA Yup, that about sums it up... I'm going to speak with the parish priest next time I am allowed to go to Mass. (I haven't had a chance yet, the last time I went to Reconciliation and Mass in my parish was right before Lent. I don't know if discernment is something I should bring up in the confessional, or if I should approach the priest after Mass....) And I will pray lots, and do lots of research into the community and the Order that they belong to. That's pretty much my plan, and I know that God will steer me in the right direction. :D
