Can We Offer A Mass For Someone Who Has Died A Long Time Ago?

Like someone who died 10-30 years ago? Would it be acceptable or is there a rule for this that the Church has made?

No there is no objective time limit. We often have Mass offerings for people who died some years ago. That some souls stay long in purgatory is implied by the fact that the Church puts no limit to the offering of Masses for the dead; some foundations have been going on for centuries, offered for the repose of certain souls.
