Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
There was a case in the past jo$h where we had an official pope and an anti pope. The real pope was exported to and resided somewhere in france, eventually the schism was figured out, unsure how but the real pope was returned to or ascended the throne for wan't of a better word, i don't understand it completely perhaps some one can tell the whole story in general for jo$h. I think if this happened i would continue to go to holy mass and receive the most precious body and blood without believing what was being taught in the manner of homo sexual marriage. The church also teaches us bro that if the pastor is in heresy than Jesus still comes real and perpetual in the holy eucharist to those whom remain faithful, i guess even if the whole church was in heresy i recommend to continue going to holy mass and receiving the most precious body and blood and confessing when needed while staying faithful to the truth. AugustineA
I have heard arguments for and against on this side of the Tiber, and for on the opposite side, though some protestants, agnostic and atheists with their own branch of eschatology remain silent on the topic. It's mostly (all) speculation, but I'll share my two cents: I'm not entirely convinced Rome has the geo-political power that if Satan was ever to gain control of the physical institution of the Vatican he could accomplish any sort of evil globally outside of the Christian community, however, he could align the appearance of the Church with the evils of the secular world, endangering the flock. That's entirely possible if you believe in the "remnant", or a group of Christians remaining the true faith. However, any remnant would have the maintain the uncorrupted form of the universal faith, which is why I have always crossed off the free wheeling evangelical sects off as having any credibility in the matter. I expect any remnant to be sober minded, charitable, historically continuous with the corrupted institution, necessarily isolated, and gravely persecuted, which is why as of today I am not a sedevacantist. Luigi
What if shrimp could whistle? What if Eleanor Roosevelt had been able to fly - how would that have changed the progress of World War II (I lifted this one from old Saturday Night Live)? And if we had some ham, we could have some ham and eggs, if we had some eggs.

Transubstantiation only for "those whom remain faithful"...seems against what I was taught reg. ex opere operato... Reg. the title: you'd have a great divide in the Church between happy go lucky crowd and persecuted faithful, i.e., those who incidentally encourage that behaviour by negligence, ignorance or naievity and those that see it as sinful and dangerous if not checked and the one under the sinful attack helped out of it before spreads further.
