visitor
You may be interested in the newly forming monastic Order of St. Paul of the Cross in the USA. Its a branching off, renewal of an autonomous European passionist monastery originally making its first foundation in Eastern Europe in the 1990s for the new contemplative vocations thereabouts. Now the OPC is making the first USA foundation and has a novitiate. The lifestyle-monastic contemplative is similar to Carmelites and the charism is both St. Paul of the Cross and Rhineland mystics (Dominicans). Contact through their website and you will get a good response.
cmaD2006
A reminder -- on Vocation Station there is a rule that new orders without approval of the Bishop cannot be promoted. See link below -- no sisters are listed as living in Abingdon, VA on the diocesan website. http://www.richmonddiocese.org/cdr/religious-men-women Please refrain from discussing this community until they are a bit more official.
