fundamentalism is more like a mindset then an actual denomination. in my experience, most baptists and pentecostals are fundamentalists, tho it may be unfair to paint all the members of these denominations w/ such a lable.

i think that in keating's book, he outlines "the fundamentals" from which fundamentalists get their name. so, essentially anyone who holds to those fundamentals--and only those--would be a fundamentalist. their particular denomination is of secondary importance

It is unfair. What's your definition of fundamentalism? It's definitely not a denomination.

It was my understanding that fundamentalist Christians are the ones that believe that all they need is the Bible and to have a personal relationship with JESUS. I don't think they even feel the need to go to church.

I don't know if this is happening in the US but the latest lable for faithful Catholics in Aust is......brace yourself....... FUNDAMENTALIST CATHOLICS!!!!!

LOL

95% of my material has sources for the statements, Catholic, or Orthodox authors, as well as reliable Muslim Scholars for the islamic parts, so its not a 'No-Source Fundy' style site. :)

Going to church is part of the bible, so you'd be wrong to assume that "fundamentalists" don't think it's important to go to church, yiannii.

Im a fundamentalist.

Remember there are Evangelical churches that may be fundamentalist and those that arent.

There are more conservative denominations then others.

Fundamentalists believe that no church saves you-_Christ saves, but that God DOES command that you assemble with believers. So to forgo church means you are in big time sin!

I would advise against calling your page "Fundamentalism." The word has lost all semblance of its original meaning and is now just a pejorative term which secularists slap on all conservative Christians. I have been called a fundamentalist many times.
