PhuturePriest
Does anyone know of good Catholic missions to Africa? I looked online and I saw the Missionaries of Africa, but the website wasn't very clear and some of the wording made me wonder if it was a religious order. mortify ii
This is going to sound obtuse but are there any more missions in the traditional sense of the word (I.e. actually evangelizing and seeking conversion)?

The Missionaries of Africa I mentioned before. They feed, house, and also preach in Africa. It sounds quite cool, really. http://www.missionariesofafrica.org/about/intro.html

PhuturePriest
http://www.fsspnigeria.org/ This is cool! But I was looking for something people can actually participate in, rather than just donate to.

truthfinder
If trad is not your thing, you could always try Precious Blood Missionaries. They have missions in Tanzania and do a lot of missionary work (I'm not sure how much actual evangelization), but what I know of them is really good. They do have lay missions, mostly to build windmills for water pumps, as well as getting children access to education, and building medical facilities. They have highschool summer mission trips, as well as adult missions which can be as short as six weeks (or eight?) as well as missions lasting a couple years. Some have become fulltime lay missionaries and spent years.
