Not The Philosopher
I was trying to parody the thread that was parodying AugustineA's thread. I've been there a few times before. They usually have separate Ukranian and English liturgies on Sunday, but this time they combined the two so that they could have a parish council meeting or something afterwards. So we were flipping back and forth between both languages, which was a bit odd (although I guess not too different from a Novus Ordo Mass using Latin and English). But I do like the service they do, and the St. John Chrysostom Liturgy.
AugustineA
Cool. Did they have perogies afterwards?
Not The Philosopher
Cool. Did they have perogies afterwards? I had to leave in order to get stuff Accomplished. But when I was there a few months ago I had pizza with them.

AnneLine
I should think the Great Fast would be moderately incompatible with wendy's.... on the other hand... it just depends on what you pick..... might make the penance more difficult!
Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
I was reading in romans or acts about how when you where travelling in the Mediterranean and winter was approaching and you had to port at some random bay it was called fast. :) Something like that anyway, that's what i discerned it meant. Actually it is at the end of acts where st paul is sailing to rome under arrest and there is some kind of storm happening. Maybe back then with there boats you couldn't sail in winter because of the random currents or storms or something.
