Almost 72 Hours Without Nicotine.

It has been almost 72 hours since i have had any nicotine. I am bored and anxious. :( I keep offering the cravings to venerable Dorothy Day, i ask her to pray for me when i get cravings. I have done this with her before and it worked, but i only lasted 2 weeks, unsure why i started again, probably stopped offering it up. I think perhaps i forget this supremely important saying, I can't but God can.

Unsure why i'm quitting, health, wealth, fitness and strength i guess, unsure if i'm quitting for the kingdom of heaven though, unsure if i will ever be able to be around smokers much any more and that scares me because that's bad for my mish coz most of the get down low and go go go peeps smoke. Perhaps my mission is changing or i will be given some grace to be around smokers without drilling them about smoking, i don't wan't to be around people that smoke if i'm going to drill them about anything except the good news, and the whole 'the body is a temple' verse doesn't compute with me as being attaining to an individuals flesh, i think it means the body of believers is the temple of god (jesus" wherever any 2 or more are gathered in my name i shall be there.) and anyone whom destroys it i will destroy etc. So i can't even offer that verse to some one whom is puffing away.

Anyhow thanks for listening to me rant off my anxiety for 15 minutes, and i'm a little less bored now as well, the nicotine should be out of my system completely by midnight tonight. I hope my anxiety and boredom is better tomorrow, I used to be able to lay down with my eyes open for 2 hours no music nothing just staring at the wall without getting bored, i guess i'm hoping to get that back also. Anyone else ever smoke or vape or chew nicotine related products?

VERY well done, Tab!!!

Remember... you need to replace the habit you are trying to get rid of with a GOOD habit.

Something you can do that you WANT to do and that would be GOOD for you to do.

It will help!!!!

WE ARE PROUD OF YOU!!!!

What might be some good habits that Tab might consider?????  ideas?

Maybe try running?

When you start getting the urge to smoke, just go run it off!

I have started training yes. That is part of the reason i quit. I will give it 28 days, no significant advancements and i may start vapin again and submitting that nicotine is some kind of medicine for me that keeps me sane. And perhaps i will start doing a rain dance demanding that tobacco be sold natural again and not this chemical croutons. 28 days in accordance with the rule of st benedict that it takes 28 days to break a bad habit, like the nicotine is already out of my system that only takes 72 hours but the habit of doing it is still there and i get ghosts of checking my pocket for a cig and the passing thought of ' i should have a ciggie.' maybe 31 days, that allows 3 days resurrection after the 28 days.

I can vape and train any way if there is no real change mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically. Smoking the amount that i was smoking before switching to vape and training perhaps not, but vaping seems to be not as bad on my lungs. If i don't see at least a lets say 3% increase in those 4 faculties, mind, heart, body and soul, than i don't know.. 3% is realistic right, coz to get to 100% that is like 28 times 33 and 33 divided by 12 is ( let me get my calculator.) no actually that's about 2.5. So that means I'm looking at 2 and a half years for an absolute about face unless there's a major miracle. I think 3% is a fair amount to expect within 31 days. Don't ask me how i got that sum. Oh 72 plus 48 = 120, so that means I'm 5 days without any nicotine, God iz Good, we will see how it goes. Perhaps quitting is fruit from my current lent fast. :)
