And thirdly, even if I don't, I have an idea of what I would do if I wasn't a priest anyway.

Drive a Mustang?

Drive a Mustang?

I'll be doing that either way. :P

No, actually, I was thinking of being an apologist and writing books. I wouldn't go to college, of course, because you can't justify a theology and philosophy degree with the price, in my opinion. I would rather just do what Steve Ray did and read tons of books and start learn the faith for free. :P

You can get a state college degree in philosophy and a job doing wordy stuff to pay bills or a TA position at a grad school while you start out your writing career

I don't always follow what's going on but I'm happy for you. Whatever will be, will be! And it will be great!

Just don't tell Pope Francis that you're driving a Mustang...

Annnnd the weekend is effectively over. How'd stuff go?

Okay, here's the weekend recap:

I went on the trip to the seminary. Had a great car ride with my friends, got there, and had an amazing time with my seminarian friends. They were all quite excited to hear that I'm applying, and even though I was quite adamant about pointing out that I haven't been accepted, they all insisted there's no way I'm not getting in, and kept saying "We'll see you in the Fall semester!"

My first meeting with the vocations director is May 6th. Then, according to every seminarian I spoke to, when he obviously and unquestionably decides I can go forward with the application process, I'll do the mountains of paperwork, see a psychologist twice to make sure I'm not mentally unstable (my diocese doesn't make you do the whole test in one day, as it lasts six hours,) and then I'll have a meeting with the newly-ordained bishop, and then he'll call me back to see what he, the vocation director, and the seminary decided. If yes, I will then possibly suffer 8 years of intense schooling, rigid schedules, and waking up at 6 in the morning every day for the rest of my life.

As a bonus, however, all of the seminarians are obsessed with Frozen. I stayed up late last night with two seminarians and watched it.

edit: 40 meaning 30

waking up at 6 in the morning every day for the rest of my life.

I don't find getting up early super-easy but I like it, it's easier to focus on God. And once you're used to it, it doesn't hurt at all :)

Glad things are moving along for you...

note to FP, not EVERYONE is obsessed with Frozen, but a lot of us do like it. I even know a couple of guys who didn't like it...just saying.

Good to see you this weekend.

Those men should be re-evaluated by psychologists. And you can tell them I said that. :P

And it was nice going on that Rosary walk to the grotto with you and being able to talk about where I'm at right now. I'll allegedly see you in September. :P

It's an unfortunate plague that seems to be going around, and the USCCB has yet to address it. A good half of the guys where I am have either publicly or privately viewed it, and most proudly display their pro-Frozen agenda around the House.

I am a huge proponent of Frozen propaganda in seminaries. You'd better believe I'll put posters everywhere when I get there.
