Lilllabettt
Am I the only one who reads the title as "How is the Vatican rooting for sodomy in the seminaries"? :-\ yeah!!! sodomy!!!
chrysostom
To those with head in sand and want to pretend everything is just fine in the hierarchy: http://rorate-caeli.blogspot.com/2013/06/pope-to-clar-part-2-yes-there-is-gay.html Also to the happy boy (FP) who doesn't get that the Church is at war and cries obsession: http://www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/spanish_exorcist_addresses_claims_of_satanic_influence_in_vatican/ E Again, what do you think can be accomplished by this thread? Eliakim
I understand that the Church is at war with the culture and with itself. But this is a problem that has incredibly dwindled, and there's no reason to make mountains out of molehills. Homosexuality is not the biggest problem with the Church right now. To say that it is belittles the other huge issues we're having. What do you mean at war with itself? You're still not getting it. Read Ephesians 6:11-13. Here's a very eye opening testimony from a former nun: (skip to minute 25) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ph8tpLveaE4 I have to wonder how wide spread the winking going on is in seminaries and convents. For anyone considering either path, this is dealbreaker worthy. Chrysostom, I hope Catholics (laity and good clergy) will shed light on this and demand accountability. E I mean the Church right now is divided between those on the left side of the political spectrum, those on the right, and those who don't take political sides and just take the side of the Church on every issue. You're still not getting it. You're making mountains out of molehills. Seminarians themselves have told you this is not going on in their seminaries. It is not nearly as widespread as it used to be. Does it sometimes happen? Yes. But it's incredibly rare.

Does it sometimes happen? Yes. But it's incredibly rare. Again read the passage I quoted you. I'll make it easier: just read vs 12 and you may reconsider your happy go lucky outlook. I have been PMed in this forum and another by seminarians that agree with me on the sodomy problem. Quit shaving your legs and pick up the Sword (Bible) and start with vs 12. Why are you listening to a VIRULENTLY anti-Catholic source and using their testimony? Am I really hearing you recommend that all of those discerners on Vocation Station quit now? I've quoted a variety of different sources (catholic and protestant), and so have others in my other thread "How entrenched is homosexuality in the seminaries?". You need to get out of sanitized bubbles and read stuff besides approved R C C sources. Yes, the guy goes overboard in some areas but he's a former priest and this is a former nun. Listen to what they have to say about what goes on. Don't be a LAACC (loyalty at all costs Catholic). E Edited March 31, 2014 by Eliakim

blazeingstar
I hope you reported her. She turned herself in. However, the damage was already done....and the fact that he'd made proclimations as to her, the money, motives and towards the state of her heart's disposition (as if he and others were trying to pull what Padre Pio did). To me, I've come to this conclusion. Either the "top excorisits" a) have lied about knowing the disposition of this person, and thus about their spiritual "vision" b) were themselves party to covering up the sin to make it seem like said person was holy c) were aware that the money was ill-gotten but believed the church had a right to it

PhuturePriest
You may find yourself fighting God. Already answered your second qn. E The Church is the instrument through which Christ speaks. The Church can never contradict Christ, and thus unwavering loyalty to the Church is unwavering loyalty to Christ. To say that you shouldn't have unwavering loyalty to it is like saying you shouldn't have unwavering loyalty to the Body of Christ.

Eliakim
Sorry, but I still don't see how you answered it. Could you restate your answer somehow? No sarcasm intended. See #18. And reg. your supposition that my shedding light on this evil equates to stating all those called to a vocation should quit: Non sequitur. I do believe however exposing the evil will bring much fruit to the Church: 1) rid the wolves 2) attract more straight men = likely reformation and renewal in Church. Lilllabettt
I've always had a talent for manipulation. So much so that I always got my siblings to do my math homework for me without me having to do anything in return. :P Once, in middle school, I told a slightly bizarre lie to one of my friends, just off hand and spur of the moment, for no reason other than to make interesting conversation. My friend didn't say anything, but I saw a momentary flash of disbelief cross her face. 10 years later I randomly ran into her again at the local grocery store and somehow managed to naturally work in information that referenced my earlier lie. Thus establishing that I must have been telling the truth, cuz what kind of crazy psycho remembers a minor lie from 10 years ago well enough to effectively fill in background for it. Later she facebooked me to say that "i know i never told you this, but I didn't believe you that time you told me about x, i'm sorry." basically the world is lucky imma Christian, else I would burn it to the ground.
