blazeingstar
Thanks, thats great. :-) Ok, I only see him when they sometimes comes to Canada on apostolate, but I will just try to talk to him about it, since it is not a big deal. Also to the poster Blazingstar - there is a world of difference between attempted suicide/homocide and smoking pot. My comparison was that your dilemma is ludicrous. The comparison was never to compare suicide and pot, but to compare how assumptions can be childish and very dangerous. My example was that a teenager found out that his father smoked pot/did drugs as a teenager and then knowing that his father was applying for or had been accepted to a job that specifically indicates no drug use under any condition. This teen could end up looking very silly if he took law and applied it unilaterally. Quite frankly you need to speak to your friend, and you need to deal with his case alone. If you are concerned about the seminary itself then you need to address that with the appropriate people and not simply your friend or random people on the internet. It could very well be that this seminary is fully aware and are working within cannon law. It could very well be that the seminary is aware and not working within cannon law. However, given the public nature of a book, even in another language, it seems unlikely that they are not aware at all.
