Latin Americans In Vancouver

I'm a bit jealous of you guys in the states. We don't get any Latin Americans or Latin American culture in Vancouver, Canada. Some rich families send their troubled Brazilian kids here to study.

I remember working with some Mexicans in highschool, and they were supper chill. They shared their lunches and watched my equipment so no one stole it. Plus, there are so many hispanic Catholics. And the food..

I remember driving through California once and got a mean look from a Mexican gangster in a gas station, but I think I was in the wrong part of town lol. Otherwise, I really wish we had more Latin American people and culture here. :(

Not The Philosopher

Welp, I can't do anything about the Latin Americans.

I do have some relatives in Vancouver if you need some Jewish people to hang out with, though.

Pobresito :( Have you looked into mission trips to Spanish-speaking countries?

I had to google what that means lol. Are you Hispanic? No, I've never been on a mission trip. They usually cost alot of money, and I have work and schooling to pay for.

Jews, hispanics, why not. Bet I've seen your relatives. The Jewish community is pretty small here in Van. and my family has some ties. :P

Edmonton's got tons of Latinos, salvadorans, Mexicans, Colombians, you name it. I couldn't survive without my Latin grocery store.

The Bus Station

If you find a trip in which you want to participate, fundraising is the way to go.  I fundraised over a thousand bucks for a trip to Jamaica last year to work with the Missionaries of the Poor.  And I know many others who have fundraised their way to mission trips as well.  Maybe you don't have a desire to do that which is fine.  Pray on it though - a lot of mission and volunteer work goes on in Central America, and I can think of no better way to experience their culture.  Also, since you asked, I am a whitey.

How was Jamaica? I dunno if I'm spiritually mature enough to go on a missions trip. It would be cool though. Maybe sometime in the future. My sister did raised funds like you, seemed to work.

Fidei Defensor

No hay mucha diversidad latina en este parte del país (Wisconsin).

La iglesia que asistía ha participado con una misión que se llama "Casa Hogar" en Peru. Deseo que visite.
