Fidei Defensor
I have been praying fervently to St. Therese for the past couple of weeks. I went to Walgreens to pick up some prescriptions. Decided to go inside instead of through the drive-thru like I usually do. Get to the counter and there are many mini pink and red rose plants by the register (mind you, they usually sell those for Valentines Day, not Easter.) Coincidence? Ice_nine
perhaps, perhaps not. That's the trouble with signs. If we look for them hard enough we can find them (which is why you have people seeing the Virgin Mary or a piece in a piece of toast). I'm not trying to belittle your experience. Perhaps it was truly a sign. Although I have to ask you a question, if you don't mind, pertaining to something you said in another thread. You said something like this happened before and you took it as a sign, but subsequentally you lost your faith. So my question is, if you really want faith, why not pray for faith instead of praying for a sign? I hope my tone doesn't come off as rude, I'm trying to be sensitive because I (like most of us) understand doubt and wanting something conrete and real to affirm our faith. And I do really admire that you are seeking faith despite how difficult you're finding it. I've thrown a few prayers your way tho and will continue to. I hope you find what you're looking for (cliché statement, but I mean it)
CrossCuT
I say accept it the way it makes you feel. No reason to think to hard about it.

Perhaps it is just a coincidence. But a nice one. Re: praying for faith, that's essentially what I'm doing. I'm begging for the gift of faith if God sees fit. Extra little signs would just be a plus for my scientifically oriented mind.
Basilisa Marie
Inexplicable prompting is certainly a major source of nice coincidences. :)

CatherineM
We have little rose buds by registers here too. Crack smokers buy them for the glass tube they're in. They discard the rose and use tube to fire up.

Lilllabettt
I say accept it the way it makes you feel. No reason to think to hard about it. if you tell a truth seeker this you may very well drive them batty. people angst over what is true because they do not accept their feelings as a good barometer of what is true. if they did they would never begin the struggle to search out what is truly true. The meaning of this event will only become clear with time. Frustrating, right. Many twists and turns in a lifespan are that way - meaningless until we can look back on them from a distance. That's the way the human animal is .... my favorite explanation for why we can't "see" the multiverse --if there is a multiverse -- we don't recognize patterns when we are inside of them. Fidei Defensor
Had another run in. Got to work, there was a woman across the street walking with a bunch of roses (which is weird in my town.)
4588686
There's pink stuff in all the chains right now. No idea why. But every Starbucks here has a ton of pink stuff.

Guest
I actually prayed for a "sign" 11 or 12 years ago and got it...A small small white light came out of nowhere and went right into my forehead. ..I was sitting outside late at night...100 percent sure this happened and wasn't a hallucination (other stuff happened around this time too but this was the most significant). ...After praying about it God told me it was the Holy Spirit entering me...At the time it happened I was reading the Bible everyday and pleading with God to let me know if Christianity was true...The funny thing is even after this happened years later I struggled with my faith...Still do sometimes...Which is crazy when I think about the stuff that happened...We're not alone... Guest
O and I prayed to Saint Therese back around the time weird stuff was happening...And as God as my witness I was at my grandma's late at night on the couch and she had these roses in a vase about 7 feet away from me...One of the rose heads started moving in a circular rotation...It was crazy...I actually forgot about this until just now...This was also around the time my best friends brother died in a drunk driving accident...Like the week before it happened I woke up immediately saying the words "Jeff is going to die" the words just came out I didn't think about them or premeditate them...really weird then it happened a week later...This was right before these other crazy things happened and God led me back to my cradle catholic faith...
