Dear Catholics, do you ever cry/weep due to things that have to do with your religion? If you do so then is it something you do alone or with other people (eg. at Mass or other places)?

Do you mean, when negative things happen? Or when you worship?

I do both. I try not to do it in public, but things happen xD

Answer to first question: yes. Answer to second: both. Depends on situation.

I have been so moved with love for God and the Church that I have cried, yes. Once I was doing the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, and I was doing the Creed and thinking about the words, and I nearly cried about it.

Gift of tears refers to?

You know. When you "cry/weep due to things that have to do with your religion?"

RE: first sentence of your OP?

Yes, I have cried several times - usually out of great love and joy, but also when I've felt significantly moved or sorrowful. It's happened to me both during Mass or Adoration and privately.
