CrossCuT
yeah, I mean that is a little strange to me as well, but maybe her baby pulled off all of a sudden and she was waiting for her baby to go back to the boob? I don't know, obviously I wasn't there. But I'd rather give the mom the benefit of the doubt. Nah, she hadnt started yet but she opened up her shirt, did all the unhooking of various other clothing items and just let it hang there while she talked to me and got the baby situated. Lil Red
Yes she was more well endowed. And it was really only one time that I saw the whole boob...and I had the very reaction "Where do I look?" because I was having a conversation with her. I didnt want to let my feelings show on my face and I didnt want her to feel like I was sitting here watching her boob fall out of her shirt. It was just awkward. when in doubt, look a nursing mom straight in the eye, only glancing left or right or up, but never down. :P then the awkwardness just starts again. :P

I will have more to contribute on this topic in maybe... 5+ years. I have no babies and no practical experience in the breast feeding department. I am just a dumb spectator. Yeah, that makes a lot more sense now. I never really had that problem, but there were times when a little extra effort was needed to keep things under wraps (sick kid, poor shirt choice, random public area with no seating, etc. my baby carrier became a lifesaver in those situations.) havok579257
I think there's a problem with children eating at Mass, in the pews, during Mass. But I am clearly in the minority, so... Pope Francis is a very holy man. Most men aren't. I just wonder if knowing there's a breast exposed near them would distract them from what they're supposed to be doing at Mass. If not: No problem. do you have children? since you have a problem with children eating at mass tell me how you would explain to a hungry child to suck it up and wait till mass is over? i am a man and a woman breastfeeding does not bother me. any man who has issues with it must be staring, its that simple. even when breastfeeding without a cover the most you will see is parts of the breast and not the whole thing and the only way your getting a good look is if your staring. any man who is so weak he is incapable of paying attention at mass because 1/5 of a breast is showing has deep sexual issues. also do we think men are so pathetic that we need to starve a child just so a man will not get a glimpse of a breast and then be unable to look away for 30 minutes. do we assume men as so weak, they see part of a breast then lose all bodily control and can not do anything else but stare? also i take huge issues with people who say the mother should just go to the bathroom or such to feed the baby. i mean as a grown adult would you take your food into a public bathroom and eat your dinner there? we all know public bathrooms are so clean. well if its not good enough for an adult why on earth do we think its ok for a baby? Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
The bathrooms in the church should be as clean as a whistle but i get your point. Staring at anyone for to long is rude anyway.

I think youre being overly dramatic and extreme. No one is saying the baby has to go eat off the floor in a shit covered bathroom No one is saying that a man will masturbate in church because he sees a boob Good grief. Is it so hard to understand what we live in a world filled with feelings? Everyone has feelings. You cant just tell them to stop having feelings. But if someones feelings arent the same as your feelings you say "fuck 'em"? Thats not very nice.
Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
how should the bathrooms be clean and a whistle? does no one in church use a bathroom? are you a health nazi? without being to grotty though right. To be obsessed about cleanliness, health, fitness, strength etc is not good and in the catechism is classified as the CULT OF THE BODY. havok579257
I think youre being overly dramatic and extreme. No one is saying the baby has to go eat off the floor in a poo covered bathroom No one is saying that a man will masturbate in church because he sees a boob actually this is exactly what some people act like. that us men are so weak that a woman needs to be overly extreme in her modesty. some on these boards go overboard and make it seem us men are so weak that if we see any part of the female human body we will immediatly fall into sin. i mean there are pictures with mary breastfeeding Jesus and her breast is exposed. should we worry about this also. i get so sick of hearing how pathetic us men are and how we have no self control and are incapable of resisting any temptation, even when its not something sexual like breastfeeding. also its not about a baby eating off a floor in the bathroom or not. would you take your own plate and eat in a public bathroom? if you would never do it how can a person ask someone else to do it. Heck yeah! MAN POWER! Im totally behind you. I dont think all men should be constantly treated like they are uncontrollable, sex hungry pigs. Its ridic. And no, I do not expect a mother to feed her child in a dirty bathroom. Why would I? Did I say that? As far as I know, Im in complete support of breastfeeding anywhere...they can go breastfeed on the moon for all I care if it would suit their fancy.
