Basilisa Marie
Hey friends. This week the Archdiocese of Seattle discovered that someone or some persons had hacked their database with personal information for over 90,000 people - employees and volunteers. Including me. And that these people committed tax fraud with the social security numbers. Including mine. Figures. So I'm posting this here as a giant PSA because if you have EVER had a background check with the Archdiocese of Seattle, call the IRS Identity Protection Specialized Unit at 1 (800) 908-4490 extension 245 to find out if your identity has been compromised. I did my background check about ten years ago, and they still had my stuff on file. Here's a link to their news release about the situation: http://www.seattlearchdiocese.org/Archdiocese/Documents/CombinedNoticeMar11Update.pdf Edited March 12, 2014 by Basilisa Marie
