I Wrote A Song

I've been trying to write an original song since I was eleven when I first got into music. However, every time I tried, I would miraculously come up with a melody out of nowhere, and then I could never think of something else to go with it. I like to play fast, and two years ago I came up with an amazing and fast melody. Sadly, I couldn't think of anything else. A month ago, like the melody, another interesting piano part came out of nowhere, and I realized within seconds I could link the two together. I've been watching tons of Bo Burnham recently since I really respect his comedic style, and last weekend I was playing this song and suddenly, I opened my mouth, and out came the words of my first original song, Prolonged Eye Contact.

Hope you like it!

P.S. I have no clue how I recorded this video without laughing hysterically. I link that to the Holy Spirit. Or Satan, who probably planted the idea for it in my head.

And to answer your question, I took piano lessons for a few years when I was really young. I can't read notes, but I seem to have a talent for playing fast and coming up with melodies.

Oh! And lyrics are in the description if you need them.

I like the raised eyebrow and head nod I do at 2:45. It's like "Hey girl, what's up?"

Amazing! Let it sink in for a month or two and do a remix!

Hahaha, thanks! All of my friends have been telling me this is genius, which obviously relieves me. :P I kind of want to add a line or two, though. I feel like if there was an extra witty line in addition with my masterfully executed head whips, it would make it even better.

All of my friends are telling me this song is ingenious. I of course knew that at the time of writing it, but I was admittedly concerned others might not see it's genius for what it is.

I laughed lots.

Do a Prolonged Eye Contact Breakup song now, "shifty eyes are never getting back together..."

:) . I would like to like pro longed eye contact. I have been around enough people that freak out at passing by drivers that look at them and you become your surroundings so i am pretty paranoid about it too now. Funny thing today before i saw this i was sitting at the bus stop and thought as a few passers by in there dragons/cars gawked at me and i actually thought " wonderful someones looking at me,thanks be to God, good on them no threat." Your song just proves todays thought for me worthy, and i have received already an immense amount of healing from this song in the matters of pro longed eye contact and will download your song, true story. Animals threaten with pro longed eye contact, i am a human being not an animal, i have to snap out of animal mode. :)

Prolonged Skin Contact...

Bleach may burn, but acid eats away;

Wear gloves and use with caution,

You'll save your pigmentation,

Never contemplate ingestion

And you'll live another day.

LOL, too bad. I feel like there is great potential in this...

I want to add another line if I can. I feel like that might make it seem more word-oriented, as right now it kind of depends upon me staring into the camera.

I love how you managed to get Albus (sp?) Dumbledore in there! :P

Any true Harry Potter fan knows what that joke means. In the books, Dumbledore is repeatedly described as having piercing eyes that seemed to peer straight into your soul.
