For A Patient And A Nursing Assistant

My patient B. was very distressed today. She is eighty-five and has been in hospital for a year. When I arrived she was lying on her bed with tears streaming quietly down her face. Later she was lashing out in a lot of physical and emotional pain, screaming, trying to bite staff, etc. She is a Christian and takes a lot of comfort from remembering Jesus, but she is tired and in a lot of pain and hospital is not a nice environment in which to live out the remainder of your life. Please pray for her.

 

Please also pray for a nursing assistant who is very fond of her and who was upset by how distressed B. was today. That assistant is a real blessing on the ward, so kind and skilled. I thank God for her.
