Norseman82
Second Dinner: 11:50pm, ALL THE MEATS! Funny but true story: once on Holy Thursday I got home from work about 10:30 PM and decided to nuke my dinner (leftover steak and shrimp from Ponderosa) so I could get it in before midnight. I noticed my roommate's cocker spaniel (whom I later "inherited") had not yet been fed for the evening. I figured I'd put in a load of laundry, eat dinner, and then feed the dog, so I left the dinner on the table. (I think you can figure out where this is leading...) I get back upstairs, and the steak is gone. But at least the dog left the shrimp for me.

NotreDame
So y'all give up meats and sweets? We only have to give up meat on Fridays and Ash Wednesdays. I think fasting (only one full meal) is mandatory on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday.

OnlySunshine
I'm trying to load up on protein before tomorrow. I just know I'm going to be a grouch if I don't have enough. Oddly enough, I'm getting it from non-meat sources and haven't eaten meat all day today. I've been eating a LOT of legumes (hummus and black bean chili, YUM), though. I have a protein shake mix I'll be utilizing some tomorrow for my smaller meals. Hopefully, that will keep me satiated protein-wise. :) Edited March 5, 2014 by MaterMisericordiae

Something similar happened to my aunt when she was dogsitting for her youngest daughter. One moment she goes to do the laundry, the next, she finds the pug and the terrier over what used to be her burger. On the positive side, the dog was maybe trying to save you from...uh...the risk of the clock being ten minutes off? Sorry can't find a silver lining outside of it being a good story for times like now!
