PadrePioOfPietrelcino
The boy scouts also have a branch called Venture Scouts that has female youth members. Incorrect. A Boy Scout Troop can have a Venture Patrol...this is separate and often confused with VENTURING, which may have a coed Crew. It seems counter intuitive to the English language, but Venture is always singular as such, Venturing is always in that form in order to distinguish between the two programs. For those of a more historical nature, Venturing today is what used to be the High Adventure and Ships of what Exploring was pre 1997. Post 1997 Exploring is a subsidiary program of the BSA which focuses on vocational specific experiences. Although Venturing has expanded beyond the former scope of Exploring.
