I speak French.......

Comment sa va?

Paris is rather lovely but it is one of the most expensive cities in the world. A coffee is about 5/7 euros.

Also, there are many many other beautiful cities in the world. Most are cheaper to stay.

Barcelona is phenomenal.

Oh, come come! I get my coffees for €1.50 in Paris. :) You must buy your coffee at Montparnasse. :D Around the Invalides, Boulevard Saint Germain, and Rue de Grenelle, it's cheaper.

Sacre Coeur.........et les Bateaux Mouches.

Near Tour d'Eiffel it's expensive. It's years since I was there, and I do truly prefer Barcelona now.

It's about six years since I was last in Europe.

We took a day trip to Cite Europe in Calais and I spent oodles of money.

When I was a novice I was permitted to go to Paris with a visiting English priest who spoke no English. That was a laugh. He wanted to spend half the day in line at the Louvre, I said no.

I've never been to Barcelona, although I'd love to go. It looks absolutely beautiful!

Haha!! A whole half-day?! Enough is enough! :D Why spend a whole day in Paris on line? :D :hehe2:

Meh, Barcelona is okay, but I much prefer Seville. Those are the only two European cities I've been in though. But seriously, the Moorish designs in Seville are gorgeous. Barcelona is too big and brash and Dali/Gaudi/whatever-that-guy's-name-is style in places for my taste. But maybe that's because I was shown the smaller parts of Seville and the bigger parts of Barcelona. But since both families I was with lived in suburbs and I vastly preferred the suburb in Seville (comfortable, small town feel) to the suburb in Barcelona (kind of big and crowded), I'd have to say that I just prefer Seville.

How about Bavaria? Has anyone been in Bamberg? Quedlinburg? Meissen? Bavaria is about as close to heaven as you can possibly get on this earth. :)

No, haven't been there but I saw a documentary on Carpathia recently and that looks amazing too, very unspoilt and massive forests.

BUT - we'll always have Paris!

I love Paris in the Springtime.

Actually, it is very nice in Paris in the Spring from what I recall.

I must admit that I far prefer the Eternal City (Rome) to Paris, but that's just me.

I do love Rome, too...but...oh dear, I do love Rome so much! Perhaps they're on the same level?
