Kateri89
I'm going to Atlanta this summer :) I've been to DC several times and its best to go when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom because they are gorgeous, plus it's warming up at that point. I liked going to the reflecting pool at the national mall and of course as far as Catholic attractions they have the Basilica there and lots of religious orders if you felt like dropping in to visit (preferably with some advanced notice). Plus all the historical sites are interesting to see as well. I'd also recommend Charleston, SC for all of its southern charm, large homes, and lots of activities :)

cartermia
Maria Stein, Ohio Beautiful little town and it has a great relic chapel! You can be like my aunt and bring a Rosary and rub every relic with it!

OnlySunshine
I'd suggest seeing an Atlanta Braves game if your traveling during the season. My sister went even though she doesn't like baseball and had a BLAST. She and her friend also went to the original Chick-Fil-A known as Dwarf House in College Park (a suburb of ATL). When we went to ATL, we visited the zoo which was really neat. :)
OnlySunshine
I've always wanted to visit Switzerland to see the Alps. I'd also like to visit: Ireland England Scotland Wales Kenya (especially Masai Mara to go on safari) Vatican City http://www.ricksteves.com/watch-read-listen/video/tv-show/alps-of-france-and-switzerland Edited February 26, 2014 by MaterMisericordiae

My current potential destinations. Any advice? Atlanta, GA DC (I know there's an old tread on this somewhere) NYC (probably an old thread on this, too) Colorado Springs, Colorado LA San Francisco I fly to NY on a regular basis since that is where my boyfriend lives and I know there are about 3 different airports in the area that you can potential arrive/depart from. Avoid Newark. It is a horrible place. I have had a HORRIBLE experience there with their security check taking literally almost an hour because they didnt have enough staff working on scans. Not only that, but they stopped ALL LINES when a water bottle went through and only had ONE person who was specialized to deal with that. This person floated between terminals and we literally waited in a halted line for 15 minutes just for him to walk over to where we were and check stuff. All the while the workers were literally spinning in their chairs bored because all the lines were halted. I was late to my flight but luckily it was delayed. I have had other friends who have told their HORRIBLE Newark stories. So my advice is to just avoid that one all together. LGA and JFK are better airports if youre flying in that direction. dUSt
I have actually put serious thought into creating a Catholic travel site apart from phatmass.
