Slappo
I'm only writing this post as an excuse to type on mine. I recently bought one with Cherry MX Brown switches, and I love it. The keys are so crisp to type on. Unfortunately the keys are too loud for me to use this keyboard at work... there are quieter switches or I could buy O ring noise dampeners to install on them, but I'm not rich. Instead I'll write this lameboard post as an excuse to type on it at home.
arfink
Loud is relative. Anything sounds quiet compared to this guy (who is my daily driver) Welcome to the fun world of mechanical keyboards. ^_^
Nihil Obstat
Kewl! We were selling a mechanical gaming keyboard at work, and I always loved fiddling with the keys. Wish I had one of my own to play with. I love how satisfying that click is.
arfink
I love clicky mechanical switches. It's probably unhealthy. :P I custom built multiple gaming controllers in order to have more clicky on my Neo Geo and PC.
Slappo
arfink, that's not a keyboard. It's a dinosaur! My work office is a half open cubicle atmosphere where a quiet conversation between two people travels across 16 cubicles to the other side of the office. I can hear my neighbor's standard keyboard, so this one would be wayyyy too loud.
