Didacus
Women's hockey: Canada wins GOLD (dynasty status!) Men's hockey: Canada wins GOLD (second Olympic in a row - near dynasty status) Sorry to all my US Friends, but I simply must: :flex2:

Tony
US will get their day someday. right? No Gold medals since the NHLers joined the Olympics :( Congrats to Canada

Didacus
The US team is probably the biggest competition the men faced this Olympic in my opinion. We won by just 1 goal. Then again, not enough can be said about the Canadian defense: no goals for their opponents in over 160 minutes of play.
Aloysius
great job on getting that hockey gold medal, Canada, but we all know the only thing that really matters in Hockey is the cup. you can't drink beer out of a gold medal ;) overall medal count US came in second to russia... but was fourth behind Canada in golds. really liked the sense of humor over the opening ceremony ring malfunction in the closing ceremony haha, nice touch, Russia. Didacus
Didn't that last ring open up and complete the rings all together? I don't understand what you are alluding to here? And as for the cup and beer, all the NHL proves from a US city winning the cup is that your Canadian players are better than our Canadian players. *smirk*
Aloysius
haha that's perfectly fine with me, I don't really care about the arbitrary border that separates us anyway ;) they purposefully choreographed the last ring to not fully open as a reference to the opening ceremony when there was a technical malfunction that made that ring not open, and then of course they opened it, but it was amusing, nice bit of humor thrown into the choreography there :cyclops: this was the opening ceremony malfunction:

Ice_nine
what I'll miss the most. Everyone makes fun of curling, but I actually find it enjoyable. It's like a glorified version of shuffleboard, but hey. I got a little emotionally invested watching the US men barely lose to Canada circa four in the morning one night. Whoops. The olympics are pretty much the only time I get patriotic.
Tony
Everyone makes fun of curling, but I actually find it enjoyable. Oh yeah, I love curling. I had a big thread about it last olympics. It's fascinating. And yeah, both US Men and Women totally stunk it up :(
