My Crazy Weekend

Less than 24 hours ago seemed like a normal evening but it became very crazy for my family and myself.

 

Before heading to bed, I decided to make sure the back door was locked but I decided to open the door. I glanced outside and thought I saw deer near the barn. But they were coyotes so I thought!

 

After I shouted "Get outta here" one of them came up on the back porch! It wasn't a coyote it was a German Shepherd! She was all skin and bones so we fed her meat and gave her dog food and some water. Watching her eat could melt a hardened heart and make you cry! She can make it even though she's in bad shape right now.

 

 

Then this morning there was two dogs on the back porch!

 

Long story short...

 

One of my Dad's friend took the male German Shepherd home with him!

 

 

And we are keeping the female German Shepherd but we have to train both her and my two little 5 pound ankle biters how to get along.

 

 

I keep on asking God "Why us? And why not the neighbors?"  I don't know his answer of why we were chosen to care for this poor dog. Maybe one of these days I will know the answer or maybe I do know but I am still in shock by this crazy weekend.
