Saw a preview for it at the movies yesterday night. I heard it was based off The History Channel's Bible series. Probably going to go see it when it comes out.Did anyone watch the series? Thoughts?

I appreciate the sentiment, but the show itself was wrought with issues, and I don't imagine the movie will be any different.

For those willing to watch (And for those not, please be respectful. He is a human being, after all), here is a video of Michael Voris giving his reasons for why he thinks the movie will be bad and watered down:

Some people I know have seen the series, and most have said how happy they are at the fact that another Biblical film has been produced. I get that, but I do agree with the sentiments in the video. The series was full of emotion (almost too much, at times), and while I didn't mind some of the scenes and acting, I did feel most of it fell short. I probably won't see the film.

The issue is it has to reach a wide audience and be cut down the middle, so the theology will be almost nonexistent. The issue with that is a movie about the Son of Man with no theology is like a war film with no war. It simply doesn't work and it defeats the entire purpose of the film.
