Nunsuch
Is this order in communion with Rome? I ask because I believe it is located in New Hampshire, and it is not listed on the website of the diocese of Manchester, NH. [If I am incorrect, and it IS in communion, my apologies.]

[If I am incorrect, and it IS in communion, my apologies.]This convent is one of the two in Massachusetts, both of which are in communion with Rome. Sr. Mary Catherine has explained this before - maybe she could again.
truthfinder
This order IS in communion. The one that is not is in Richmond, NH. Mater,I came across this notice on Fr. Z's blog indicating the Richmond was reconciled in 2010.http://wdtprs.com/blog/2010/10/followers-of-fr-feeney-recently-reconciled/
Nunsuch
Thank you for this information. I'm glad I was mistaken.
Sr Mary Catharine OP
Richmond is in communion and has never not been. Their status as a religious institute was irregular. Those are 2 different things. Now they are a private association of the faithful, I believe. It might be public. I don't remember. Anyway, they have approval by the diocese. Just curious.

AnneLine
A blog post on the investiture. http://www.saintbenedict.com/index.php/sbc-newsblog/blog/item/1667-new-novice-feb11 Am I missing it or does this community of sisters pray no part of the Divine Office? Just curious. I think you missed it. They specifically say 'Vespers and Compline (i.e., Evening Prayer and Night Prayer) and they may mean 'Lauds' for Morning Prayers. http://www.saintbenedict.com/index.php/tradition/prayer-life Of course, many communities in the days before Vatican II had the sisters simply praying litanies and prayers (and/or the Little Office of the BVM), so it wasn't at all an odd question! :)
Sr Mary Catharine OP
No, they don't pray Lauds. The sisters at their "sister" community: sistersofstbenedictcenter.org prays Lauds, Vespers and Compline. They sing it in Latin and do it beautifully. The use the OSB monastic diurnal. I didn't get the link with the schedule: http://sistersofstbenedictcenter.org/community.html Sorry. DameAgnes
Thanks, Sister. I had been looking at their Daily Lives page for the sisters, and I didn't see any reference to any office but Compline http://www.saintbenedict.com/index.php/theorder/sisters
