DemonSlayer
Maybe he should share it with the poor or something, seems like something he would do.
AnneLine
Agreed. He will want to share it with the poor... he would be OK with us nibbling a little while we carried it to the poor. We could suggest we would have it with some Mate. Maybe he would JOIN us in giving it to the poor. Wouldn't that be fun????

Luigi
I know, it just feels like it must be a crime to eat such a work of art. I think I'll give up the Pope for Lent.... Besides, if it turns white it might be more correct since he wears white, not dark brown. But SAINT Francis wore dark brown, so I'd call it appropriate in an indirect sort of way. ChristinaTherese
But SAINT Francis wore dark brown, so I'd call it appropriate in an indirect sort of way. I must present you with evidence to the contrary: This is an ongoing debate within the Franciscan Order. Behold the original habit of Saint Francis (right) and Saint Clare (middle): Decide for yourselves whether the habit is brown or grey. I am pleased that my Sister's serge habit (in person) looks just like Clare's original. A very unique combination of grey and brown. Most daughters and sons of Saint Francis agree though that it is not the color of the habit that matters, but its reflection of the poverty Franciscans love so much. So, maybe it would be appropriate to wait some time period that makes it go from dark brown to brown-grey? (I don't see much grey there myself, but can see how it might be seen if that makes sense.) maximillion
If we wait till it's grey-brown it will be inedible. Strike now while we all still have teeth!
AnneLine
ROTFL Which is a WONDERFUL exercise!!! AND I have an idea. (uh oh) If we all start walking or otherwise moving virtually RIGHT NOW, we will accommodate enough miles to QUALIFY as a pilgrimage by the time we get to Rome.... and we will have worked off enough calories to be able to eat the Chocolate Pope Francis with NO GUILT! So I say, we get moving!!!!!!
