Lil'Monster
DO YOU REMEMBER a few months ago I had given away the rooster named Winchester? Well he has returned a few weeks ago because the owners had to move and couldn't bring him and two hens with them. Winchester the rooster has grown up! He's kinda short and stocky but he looks like his big daddy John Paul. However John Paul and Winchester fought bitterly the next morning of his arrival. I saved Winchester's life! Now Winchester has to live in a pen until the weather gets better or he would be murdered by his papa!

SilentJoy
We had a "free" rooster one year...the neighbor was trying to keep him in an inadequate pen with his other animals, but the rooster preferred the bushes under my parents' bedroom window, and he'd start screeching before sunrise and wake everybody. This was not just a little crowing, this was bugling and screaming. We'd catch him and bring him home but he'd always be back, either that evening or not very long after. The problem was, we had chickens of our own, too big of a temptation. Finally the neighbor said "Just keep it!" so we tried to keep him with our chickens, mostly hens and a very laid-back rooster, but the free rooster was criminally loud even from way back in the chicken pen, and we didn't want to annoy any surrounding neighbors because if they complained we might not be allowed to keep chickens. So we had chicken casserole. :dead: :paperbag:

I guess he liked your parents. :hehe2:
