Happy Feast Of St. Thomas Aquinas

The title is both a wish to you - although it's rather late in the day - and a statement of my own day.

 

Through a couple of lucky breaks schedule-wise, I got to attend Mass with a whole bunch of Dominicans, including a Dominican homilist, at a Dominican institution. The music was very good and very well performed, the prayer for the feast is very apt, and the homily was very good.

 

And - another lucky break - they served pizza and cake to all the attendees afterward.

 

 

Sometimes, you just get lucky. And to quote Dear Old Dad, "I'd rather be lucky than smart."

 

 

 

 

 

 

(Although I have to admit that St. Thomas himself was probably smarter than he was lucky. Which runs contrary to Dad's aphorism. Which is starting to get confusing. So I'm just going to drop it.)
