Nihil Obstat
anyway one reason I'm glad I have the Kindle Fire is that I can put pdfs onto it and do reading for school. not sure that'd be possible with the black and white versions, is it? It is, but with normal ereaders they cannot display colour. I have never had a problem with that, but I can see how some people might. I think Sony had a colour ereader a while back, but I do not think it was that successful.
cartermia
I like the first version, but my father has the kindle touch and I love his since I am allowed to play games on it.
Jaime
We have a kindle fire and a kindle fire hdx and we love them. I can get text books on the bigger fire hdx and it saves a ton of money!!
arfink
I like how the Kindle Paperwhite can run for like, a week without needing a recharge. ;)
Eowyn
I got the Paperwhite for Christmas and looove it. I have about 10 pages of books, most of which were free (library and webarchive for the win.)
OnlySunshine
Just another opinion but I bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 (7 inch version) and Android allows me to download the Kindle reader. I think this works better than getting an actual Kindle because I can use the tablet for other things like taking notes at school (which is the main reason I got it). It has a pretty fast processor, too, and has expandable memory. I love my tablet.
ChristinaTherese
Well it arrived and I managed (after a few attempts) to hook it up to campus wifi.
Eowyn
Well it arrived and I managed (after a few attempts) to hook it up to campus wifi. Mine took me about six attempts to get it hooked up to my wifi. Thankfully, that was the hardest part about setting it up. https://archive.org/index.php and http://www.gutenberg.org/ have loads of free books.
