PhuturePriest
Uh, just a thought before you make a final decision on the kilt..... Traditionally, men "go commando" under the kilt. :shocking: (Well, except when they hold Highland Games with the Queen in attendance. Then they wear underwear.) So, the question is, Are you planning to follow tradition when you wear the kilt? Or do you plan to be a "Protestant" and alter tradition? Heck, Phatmassers have devoted PAGES and PAGES to judging discussing womens' choice in swimwear. Why not expand the discussion to the kilt? <_< :smile3: Traditionally, Franciscan Friars wore nothing but their habits, and that means no underwear. If it's good enough for Saint Francis, it's good enough for me.

An Historian
My question for you is: are you sure those are your clan colors? Wars have been fought over this. Clan colours is an entirely modern phenomenon and a massive deal should not be made about it. It would be respectful to refrain from wearing 'restricted' tartans but it's not really going to be anything spectacular. Incidentally this is not a clan tartan but a modern tartan for those of Irish heritage. I plan to get one of my own for daily wear until I have my Murphy kilt woven for my wedding day.
