Basilisa Marie
What is "modern theology"? The answer affects my vote. Yeah, what Lilllabettt said, it's like theology done within the last fifty to a hundred years or so. Vatican II type stuff and onward, usually. I blame all those Voris videos I watched. :P
Lilllabettt
well feminist and liberation theology is modern theology and that is covered in the course. *I should add that i am not afraid to learn about theologies I don't agree with or be taught by a professor who I don't agree with ... as long as they respect students who differ. I am not familiar with this professor as much as his hard core heterodox wife ... me guesses it is likely he is not pure as driven snow, but he is respectful of Ratzinger: http://www.hds.harvard.edu/news-events/harvard-divinity-bulletin/articles/from-theologian-to-pope Edited January 26, 2014 by Lilllabettt

His wife I'd be a bit more wary of (but that's the nature of feminist theology, a lot of it is pretty confrontational). I've had pretty good experiences in classes like these; having a different opinion usually ends up making discussion all the better, if you're into that. :)
