Sr Mary Catharine OP
I would like to share with you a beautiful community of sisters, The All Saints Sisters of the Poor in Catonsville, MD. You may recall that in 2009 the sisters came into full communion with the Roman Catholic Church. In 2011 they became a community of diocesan rite. I was privileged last week to make my annual private retreat with them. It is a beautiful place to make a retreat as well. I highly recommend them. THey are a small community of 12 sisters. Very monastic but not cloistered. They pray all the hours of the office but matins. Currently they are still using the English Anglican Benedictine Office as they try to figure out what they want to do next. They follow the rule of St. Augustine but "look" very Benedictine. All their liturgy is in English but very traditional. Right now they are reciting the Hours but that is temporary because they have been doing some long-term renovating of the house and things were a little topsy-turvey for a while. Starting next week they will slowly be singing the whole office once again. The sisters are truly holy, human, fiesty and sweet all wrapped together! They do not have an age limit and actually feel that right now an "older" candidate would fit in with them better but I don't think age would really matter. I do hope some of you who are discerning will consider this beautiful community! http://www.allsaintssisters.org/

Kayte Postle
How you use your time during Retreat will vary according to your need at that time: • naps are wonderful • walks around the convent grounds • hiking in the woods • spending time in prayer :lol4: Found this gem when poking through they're website. They seem like a wonderful community, may God bless them with many vocations!

ThereseMaria
Do you know if they require you to be a citizen of the US in order to join their community? I didn't see it anywhere on the website (I could have missed it, I'm kinda tired...)
Sr Mary Catharine OP
You'd have to ask. I know that Sr. Margaret and Sr. Christina are from other countries.
