PadrePioOfPietrelcino
I do wonder about their obligations when it comes to religious observance, though. http://aclj.org/workplace-rights/working-on-the-sabbath-sunday breaks it down pretty good

Going to Google it right now.
YHZRosko
http://www.chrc-ccdp.ca/eng/content/what-discrimination#1 Looks like we have something similar in place here. I work in a Federally regulated workplace, so this would apply to me. Good to know.
NotreDame
For example, I work full time shift work now. It can happen that I'm scheduled to work both weekend days, and that the shifts would overlap with all possible Mass times in my area. There's a certain degree of flexibility, for example I can try to trade shifts or give the shift away to someone else, but that's not guaranteed. Bills still need to be paid. If I do everything I can to organise my work schedule to avoid missing Mass, but it still happens, what can I do? I don't want to be dishonest and call in sick when I'm not. I've looked this up recently. I can't find the links at the moment, but I remember it being perfectly fine if you absolutely can't get out of work, however you should discuss it with your pastor at your parish, who is supposed to give permission for that sort of thing. It happens to (for example) oil workers quite often.
